Today we’re diving into water pollution — not just what it is, but why it truly matters.

What it means:

When we think of water pollution, we often imagine large factories dumping waste into rivers. But the truth is, we each play a role. The way we dispose of plastics, pour chemicals down the drain, or waste clean water adds up and affects our rivers, lakes, and even the oceans.

Kenya is already feeling the weight of this. Polluted water threatens fish stocks, makes farming harder, and increases health risks in our communities. Every drop wasted or contaminated is a drop taken away from the future.

But we can change this. Small actions make a big impact:

✅ Segregate waste and recycle instead of dumping it into waterways.

✅ Reduce plastic use and choose reusable alternatives.

✅ Avoid pouring oils, detergents, or chemicals into sinks and drains.

✅ Harvest rainwater and use water wisely at home.

Clean water is life. Protecting it means protecting our health, food, and future. Together, we can keep our rivers flowing clean and our communities thriving. 💧🌱
